Terms and conditions

1. General

These terms govern the use of Stilnote (the "Service"), operated by Sophia Fyrst (sole proprietorship trading as Stilnote), Danish business registration no. (CVR) 45863166, Kaløvej 81, 8543 Hornslet, Denmark ("we", "us"). By creating an account, you accept these terms, our privacy policy and data processing agreement.

The Service is aimed at businesses — interior architects, interior designers and studios. If you use Stilnote as a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules apply alongside these terms (see section 11).

2. The Service

Stilnote is a tool for interior architects that lets you build a material library, organise products into projects and rooms, create moodboards, share client pages and export material plans as PDF and Excel. The Service is provided "as is" and is developed continuously — we may add, change or remove features. If we remove a feature you pay for, we will notify you by email.

3. Account and access

You sign in without a password — via Google login or a one-time link sent to your email. You are responsible for protecting access to your email account and for all activity under your Stilnote account, including API keys for the SketchUp plugin and AI assistants you have granted access yourself. You must provide accurate information when registering.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or the law. If so, you will receive a reason by email unless providing it is impossible or unlawful, and you may object by writing to us.

4. Content and data

You own the content you upload to Stilnote (images, product data, project files). We store your data securely and do not share it with third parties unless necessary to provide the Service, or you ask us to (for example by connecting an AI assistant).

You can share a project with colleagues in your team, and you can publish a client page that becomes available to anyone with the link. You control what the client page shows and can unpublish it at any time. You may export your data and delete your account with all associated data at any time.

5. AI features and AI assistants

Stilnote uses artificial intelligence (provided by Anthropic) to, for example, extract product data from links, recognise products in images, remove backgrounds and name images. AI results may contain errors. Prices, dimensions, materials and other information filled in by AI must therefore always be checked before you use them with your client.

You can grant external AI assistants (such as Claude or ChatGPT) access to your account under Settings. Access is granted by you, can be revoked in the same place, and the assistant's own terms and privacy policy apply to what you share with it. Actions an assistant performs on your behalf count as yours, and we are not liable for the assistant's mistakes.

6. Responsibility for content and copyright

As a user, you are solely responsible for the content you upload, share or otherwise make available through Stilnote — including product images, descriptions, logos and other materials.

You warrant that you hold the necessary rights to the content you upload, or that your use is lawful under applicable law.

Stilnote does not monitor or pre-approve user-uploaded content, and we accept no liability for any infringement of third-party rights.

7. Trademarks and third-party content

Stilnote displays product data, images and trademarks belonging to third parties (including but not limited to HAY, Fritz Hansen, Muuto, Louis Poulsen, &Tradition, Ferm Living, Carl Hansen & Søn and GUBI) for the purpose of helping users identify and organise products in their interior design projects.

All trademarks, logos and product images belong to their respective owners. Stilnote is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of the brands mentioned, unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Product data, including prices, dimensions and images, is retrieved from publicly available sources and may differ from the manufacturer's current information. Stilnote does not guarantee the accuracy of third-party data.

8. Stilnote's role as a tool

Stilnote serves as a digital working tool for interior architects and designers. The platform provides functionality for organising, presenting and sharing product information.

Content uploaded to or generated through the platform remains the user's responsibility. Stilnote acts solely as a technical host for the user's working materials.

9. Reporting illegal content and copyright infringement

If you believe that content on Stilnote — for example on a shared client page — is illegal or infringes your rights, you can report it to info@stilnote.com. This address is our point of contact for users, rights holders and authorities under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). You may write in Danish or English.

A report must include: a link to the content, an explanation of why it is illegal or infringing, your name and email address, and a statement that the information is accurate. Rights holders should attach documentation of the basis of their rights.

We confirm receipt, process the report as quickly as possible and without automated decision-making, and remove or block content that is illegal or infringing. The user who uploaded the content is notified with a reason and may object by writing to the same address. Reports made in manifest bad faith may be rejected.

10. Prices, payment and cancellation

Stilnote can be used free of charge with up to 50 products in your library (the limit counts every product you create over the lifetime of the account — deleting does not free up space). Pro removes the product limit and costs DKK 179 per month, or DKK 1,700 per year with annual billing. Prices include Danish VAT where it applies; for customers outside Denmark, VAT is calculated at checkout according to the rules of your country (EU businesses with a valid VAT number are charged under the reverse-charge mechanism). Payment is made in advance via Stripe.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of the chosen period (month or year) unless cancelled before then. You cancel yourself under Settings → Subscription (Stripe's customer portal) — no contact with us is required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; you keep Pro until then, and no refund is given for the remainder of the period.

We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email. A new price applies only from your next renewal after the notice, and you may cancel before then if you do not wish to continue.

Referral programme: If you invite a colleague who creates an account via your link, you both receive 3 months of Pro (up to 4 rewarded referrals per user). The reward cannot be paid out in cash. We may change or close the programme with notice; months already granted are kept.

11. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you buy Pro as a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase under the Danish Consumer Contracts Act. By starting the subscription immediately, you agree that delivery begins before the withdrawal period expires. If you withdraw within the 14 days, we refund the amount paid less a proportionate share for the period you had access to Pro.

To withdraw, send a clear statement to info@stilnote.com — for example "I withdraw from my purchase of Stilnote Pro" with the email your account was created with. We confirm receipt and refund within 14 days to the same payment method.

Complaints about a purchase should be made to us first. If we cannot resolve the matter, consumers may complain to Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark, naevneneshus.dk.

12. Data export and switching provider

Your data is yours. You can always retrieve it yourself: projects as PDF and Excel, and images as files. If you want a complete export of your entire account in a machine-readable format (such as JSON or CSV), write to info@stilnote.com and we will deliver it within 30 days free of charge.

If you cancel Pro, you lose no data — the account continues on the free plan, so you can retrieve everything at your own pace and move to another provider. We charge no fees for cancellation or switching. If you delete the account yourself, all data is deleted immediately and permanently (see the privacy policy), so export first.

13. Disclaimer of liability

We strive to keep the Service available and free of errors, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We are not liable for indirect losses or losses resulting from downtime, data loss, AI-generated errors or third-party services. Towards businesses, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the preceding 12 months. These limitations do not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence, and they do not limit consumers' mandatory rights.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect, so you can cancel if you cannot accept them. Continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

15. Governing law and venue

The agreement is governed by Danish law, and disputes are settled by the Danish courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection granted by the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
