Guide

Learn how to use Stilnote — from creating your account to exporting price lists. See also our FAQ.

Getting started

Your first steps with Stilnote.

Create your account

Go to stilnote.com and click "Get started". You can log in with your Google account or receive a magic link by email — no password required.

On your first login, you'll be asked to enter your studio name and upload your logo. These are automatically used in your PDF exports.

Understand your workflow

Stilnote is built around three steps: (1) Collect products in your Library, (2) Organize them into Projects and Rooms, (3) Export a PDF price list for your client.

Your Library is your personal materials bank — every product you save ends up here. From there, you add them to specific projects and rooms.

The Library

Your personal materials bank.

Add products manually

Click "New product" in your library. Fill in the product name, choose a product type (Furniture, Lamp, Material, Plant or Decoration), and add an image, price and dimensions.

Each product type has specialized fields. Lamps, for example, have fields for light source, lumens and CRI. Plants have botanical name, care instructions and light needs.

Save products from a URL

Click "New product" in your library and paste a product link from an online store. Stilnote automatically extracts name, price, image and other available data.

You can edit the extracted data before saving. Choose the correct product type so the type-specific fields are filled in correctly.

Works with most online stores. For sites with advanced technology, an AI fallback automatically kicks in to find the product data.

Import from file

You can upload Excel (.xlsx), CSV (.csv) or PDF files with product data. Go to your library and choose "Import".

Stilnote automatically recognizes the columns in your file. You get a preview where you can edit, deselect or change the product type for each product before saving.

Search and filter

Use the search field to find products by name, brand or designer. Filter by product type with the dropdown menu.

Switch between grid and list view with the toggle buttons in the top right.

Projects and rooms

Organize products for your clients.

Create a project

Click "New project" in the sidebar or on the dashboard. Give the project a name and optionally a client name and address.

Each project can have general products (not tied to a specific room) and room-specific products.

Add rooms

Inside a project you can create rooms — e.g. "Living room", "Kitchen" or "Bedroom". Each room has its own product table.

You can rename, delete and reorder rooms. Drag and drop or use the arrows to sort.

Add products to a room

Click "Add product" in a room to choose from your library. You can set quantity, drawing reference (A, B, C for lamps) and add notes.

The same product can be added to multiple rooms and projects — your library is the source, and the projects reference it.

Product tables per room

Each product type is shown with its own columns. Furniture shows name, designer, size and price. Lamps show reference, brand, color and size. Materials show surface, material and m².

Columns adjust automatically based on the product types found in the room.

PDF export

Generate professional price lists.

Export a price list

Go to your project and click "Publish" in the header. Publish the project and open the client page — this is where you download your price list using the "Download PDF" button.

The PDF automatically includes: a cover image, project information, product tables per room with images, and a total price summary.

Customize your brand

Under Profile (click your logo in the sidebar) you can set brand colors, logo and fonts.

Your primary brand color is used for table headers in the PDF. Your secondary color is used for alternating rows. Logo and studio name appear on the cover page.

Changes to your brand settings are automatically reflected the next time you export a PDF.

Advanced PDF settings

The PDF follows your client page. Under "Publish", use "Tailor client page" to choose which rooms and fields are shown — e.g. prices, dimensions and materials — per product type. The same choices apply to both the client page and the PDF.

The PDF itself is downloaded from the client page using the "Download PDF" button. The layout automatically follows the client page view: list view produces a PDF with tables, gallery view produces a PDF with product cards.

Account and settings

Manage your profile and your subscription.

Edit profile

Under Profile you can change your studio name, upload a new logo, and customize your brand colors and fonts.

Your email is tied to your Google account or magic link and cannot be changed directly in Stilnote.

Subscription

Stilnote is free to use with up to 50 products in total and unlimited projects. The 50 products are a lifetime quota — deleting a product does not free up a new slot.

If you want an unlimited product library, Stilnote costs 179 kr/month incl. VAT — or 1,700 kr/year (save 20%) with annual billing. You can manage your subscription at any time under Settings.
